My name is Michael B. Smith. I’ve been dating for six years and am in my last 6 days of marriage and am in my 8th year. I am very active in the music world and have been doing various shows including The Great Gatsby at Soho’s Chalkboard Club, the Music Hall at City Hall, the Worthy Farm Gatsby in St Peters, the Gatsby in London and then the Gatsby in London. My husband has worked on many shows and is a member of The Great Gatsby Association.

I met your husband as a student at a local art school and now you join The Gatsby as a touring DJ. When did you discover the show was on your radar

I started out with The Great Gatsby, followed that up with my career as a rock music professional (for 10 years in 2009-2010 it had taken over 40 bands to date), followed by two other artists (Travis Taylor and the Gatsby Girls) and then finally, a couple of tour acts together with a label of my choosing (the Gatsby’s Girlz. I am a member of the band and am in touch with The Great Gatsby when on stage). I have been in business with them for over 50 years.

Your blog has got over 25,000 upvoted views on the net alone over the last two days. What do you learn as an artist and musician about your personal life and future

I enjoy what I do, even as a solo artist. I like to think that I can write an incredible album, or produce a music product, I’ll do whatever I want with whatever I need it to be. I will enjoy what anyone calls my dream song, and can’t wait to do more with my creative endeavours.

It is quite ironic to compare your two careers. First, you are both in the UK, so you seem to have a slightly different view of the future. You were in the business of making music and you are in the US, which is a little different. Why does this make sense, to both of you

It seems to me we’ve sort of got it down to two things. The first is that the country has become a bit better now, but it’s not as though everything has really taken off
